The three political parties close their election campaigns Saturday with mass rallies. Only one party - the UNC Alliance - is putting on a show with major international figures.
  
The two big names on the UNC A rally are Boyllwood move star Salman Khan and American civil rights Actvist Jesse Jackson.
 
Salman Khan, Jesse Jackson for UNC-A Rally The UNC Alliance is promising "the biggest rally this country has ever seen", adding that there will be some surprises.
The party is expecting more than 60,000 supporters at the Aranguez recreation ground, the place where the United National Congress (UNC) was launched on 1989 with Basdeo Panday's vision that people would flock to the movment "not by the colour of their skins, but by the content of their minds."
The party, which is now allied with other national parties to form the UNC Alliance, is calling its campaign the "orange revolution".
It's inaugural rally on Oct. 7 attracted about 45,000 supporters.
The People's National Movement (PNM) is holding its rally in it's traditional location - the Eddie Heart grounds - on the East West Corridor.
And the Congress of the People (COP) is returning to Woodford Square, where it held its "Red Rally" in Septemeber to celebrate its first anniversary. |
