Trinidad and Tobago's Labour Minister Danny Montano is sounding very generous these days. And according to a report in the Trinidad Guardian, he has asked officials in his ministry to find 10,000 unemployed women and give them jobs.
According to the Guardian, Montano told staff to go on door to door walkabout across the country to find the unemployed women. The report quotes the minister as saying, "Go and find out who they are and let us do something with them. We have to train them, educate them, find them jobs!"
It said the minister has admitted that it will take some doing but the task is not impossible.
In fact Montano is inviting unemployed women to get in touch with the ministry and officials will do everything they can to help them find jobs.
