| 2007/9/4 19:30:00 |
Several teachers have stuck to their promise and walked off the job following the Education Ministry’s failure to have their facilities ready for the start of the new school term.
This morning teachers of the St. Michael’s Anglican School in Princes Town took a decision, not to return to classes until their classroom conditions are improved.
Meanwhile after eleven schools failed to open for the new school term yesterday, Opposition Senator, Razia Ahmed is today calling for the immediate resignation of Education Minister, Hazel Manning.
Speaking in the Upper House this morning, during her contribution to the budget debate, Senator Ahmed accused the Minister of being incompetent in performing her duties as Education Minister.
And on the issue of the de-shifting of several schools, the Senator said the Ministry does not have a clue of how this process works. |
