On May 30th CLUB INDIA opened its doors to the public with the best in the entertainment industry, with performances by Spread Pal Crew (SPC), the big band KARMA and music by U 97.5 fm's very own Bees HiFi.
SPC lead by Omardath Maharaj opened the live show with hits such as Talkari, Kalawtie bina water and many more leaving the crowd wanting more. Just after 2am Bees HiFi took to the turntables having the crowd singing along as he entertained with hit after hit, no wonder U 97.5 fm snagged this D.J., he surely knows his music and what entertaining a crowd is all about.
Then it was the closing act by the Band of the Year KARMA. The brother/sister duo delivered quite an electrifying performance together with a new addition to the band, Andy Singh. Andy with his melodious voice complimented Karma's duo Ravi and Nisha B superbly, leaving the ladies screaming for more.
Ravi B spoke with U 97.5 fm's announcer Ravita Ramrattan giving her a little insight on what the band Karma has been up to, stating that on May 28th at the Chutney Foundation Awards Karma took home 7 awards, including best male artiste by Ravi B, Best female artiste by Nisha B, best Bollywood singer by Andy Singh and the Ras Shorty I award by Nisha B, just to name a few.
So in conclusion we can safely say that CLUB INDIA have set the bar pretty high on their opening night where the entertainment was concerned.
We say "Hats Off" to CLUB INDIA in a step in the right direction in keeping the indian culture alive in T&T. |
