It's amazing what a regular exercise routine does for the heart! Doctors say a brisk walk for 20 to 30 minutes three days a week can add a few years to your life. Many of us choose to do that not on a treadmill in the gym or at home, but by exploring some nature trail. Some have died doing it on this trail in Spain known as El Camino Del Rey.

It's a walkway pinned along the steep walls of a narrow gorge in El Chorro, near Álora in Málaga, Spain.

The walkway has now gone many years without maintenance, and is in a highly deteriorated and dangerous state.

It is one meter in width over a 700-meter fall, and over time it has lost its handrail. Some parts of the walkway have completely collapsed and have been replaced by a beam and a metallic wire on the wall.

Many people have lost their lives on the walkway in recent years. After four people died in two accidents in 1999 and 2000, the local government closed the entrances.

However, adventurous tourists still find their way into the walkway.

Take the walk if you dare! More than 1.7 million people have done it and chances are you are one of them. But if you haven't, we warn you this is not for the weak-hearted.
