Some may squirm at the sight of freshly roasted iguanas for sale.
But at the mouth of the Ortoire River in Maffeking, in Trinidad these young guys make a living selling them.
Fried, roasted or curried, villagers seem to indicate that it is a rare delicacy.
The reptiles are caught at the Kernaham and Cascadoux areas at the foot of the Nariva reserve. It's not hunting season, so you could understand why the young entrepreneurs were not eager to reveal their identities.
The cost? Well you can have one of the iguanas for $300.
Considering the cost of living in Trinidad and Tobago that sounds like a bargain - in you're a wild meat lover or if you're adventurous enough to give it a try.
